[updated] six injured and two in state of coma as Ifeanyi Ubah team bus is involved in fatal accident.

The bus conveying members of the Ifeanyi Ubah football team was involved in a head-on collision with a passenger cab, which was overloaded. Six members of the team reportedly sustained varying degrees of injuries and two were said to be in coma.

According to Chairman of the club, Chukwuma Ubah, the accident occurred on Friday morning when the team players and some officials were heading to Ijebu Ode for the NPFL Matchday 36 fixture with Sunshine Stars, set to hold on Sunday, 3rd of September, 2017.

He said in a statement confirming the incident: “Sequel to the reports making the rounds this morning. We wish to confirm that FC IfeanyiUbah team bus conveying players and officials was involved in a car accident along Benin/Ore expressway while on our way to Ijebu Ode to honour the NPFL Matchday 36 fixture with Sunshine Stars billed for this Sunday, 3rd of September, 2017.


“Six of our players sustained varying degree of injuries and two that are unconscious hitherto have regained consciousness and are receiving treatment presently at the closest medical facility near the site of the accident. “We wish to express our felicitations for your concern, support, and outpour of emotions, deepest thoughts and prayers at this sad times. “More details as regards if we would be able to honour the match on Sunday or not will be made known shortly.”

What a pity! Man die after eaten poison fried yam while traveling in the express Road.

A middle-aged man from the Local Government Area of ekiti, Niyi olaiya, traveling along edo at the weekend  died after eating yam he bought at the roadside in the express road. A woman from the area had earlier died after eating the yam sold by some market trader at the road of Edo. The man is said to have purchase at the roadblock along the express road  when he was hungry in the public transport and after purchasing  yam which he immediately remove and ate. Sources in the public transport reported that 30 minutes after eating the yam, which the people consider as poison yam , the man started vomiting bloody substance while his stomach started swelling. He gave up the ghost 45 minutes later. people are therefore advised to reduced the rate of eating cooked food along the express road.
