FIFA President Infantino Arrives In Lagos for CAF/AITEO award

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has arrived in Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial capital for the inaugural edition of the AITEO/CAF Football Awards. Shortly after his arrival on Monday, Infantino visited the Lagos Government House, in company with the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Mr Amaju Pinnick.

Also accompanying the FIFA president are the CAF President Ahmad Ahmad and FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura. The state governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, met with the team. Infantino was excited about his visit to Lagos which he said was a pleasure and honour.

Meanwhile, the award ceremony takes place at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island and is expected to have in attendance, a number of prominent global figures and football stars among others. The world football governing body president is also expected to attend the FIFA Executive Football Summit slated for Tuesday, February 20.
